Making silly movies that aren't supposed to be taken seriously can be one of two things; funny or plain ridiculous. As for Open Season 2, it was plain ridiculous. I was completely repulsed the whole time.

I haven't seen the first movie, but apparently all the voices have changed. Most of the time, that happens when a movie was so bad that the original actors want nothing to do with the sequel! And I wouldn't blame them. Usually with sequel films like this, the writers put in a little bit of background for people who haven't watched the first film so that it can be funny either way. That certainly didn't happen in this film! I had no idea who was who or what was what. I had no idea what was going on!

Apart from that, the movie was boring, slow-paced, unoriginal and generally unfunny. Sure, the gags aren't as bad as some other films I've seen, but they were unfunny and stupid.

In this film, there was a disturbing recurring gag of using rabbits as punching bags and bowling pins. Although this wasn't real and it was CGI, the rabbits were hit, slammed, pushed and prodded. Jesus Christ, this is a kid's film! This maybe would be slightly acceptable in an adult film, but kids are going to be watching it and thinking it's okay to use rabbits as bowling pins! In my book, that's called animal cruelty!

Overall, this pathetic excuse for a movie was truly an unpleasant experience which I would rather not have again.
