Review of Open Five 2 (2012) by Matthew S — 23 May 2015
This "sequel" or sort of continuation of Audley's first film was made specifically for Internet streaming. I found this continuation far more effective than the originating film. The camera work and editing is all tighter and the characters feel more "connected" even as they disconnect.
While the film appears to be about the complexities of romantic relationships, it is the study of Audley's "character's" self-loating / lack of focused direction trying to work/make decisions is the far more interesting aspects of the story.
While it does not always work, it is far stronger than most movies coming out of the Hollywood mainstream.
