Review of Opal Dream (2006) by Robert N — 07 Nov 2007

Hurrah for decent child actors! all descriptions of this film turned me WAY OFF, but I saw it last night and will probably watch it again before it goes back to the rental store. kids and parents alike do a great job, and the storyline really highlights the characters. so often stories like this one turn into morality plays, in which the moral is way more important than the individual characters. not so, this time.

Does it stand up to my favorite movies of all time? not really. but it certainly outshines 90% of the garbage that hits the theaters. loved it.
