Review of Onward (2020) by Sean_The_Critic — 26 Mar 2020
In all honesty, this was a very good movie and yet another great story brought to us by Pixar. It didn't seem to overwhelming or underwhelming compared to other past Pixar movies, so to look at it independently from the studio seems fair.
The movie does display good uses of technical film techniques, it allows character expansion and realization on a broad platform, while also conserving the characters to be consistent throughout the movie.
The plot however moved along to fast, personally, as it skipped through major character development in just hours. They describe the "mastery of wizardry" as something incredibly difficult and straining, yet contradict that point as the main protagonist does so in less then a day.
