Review of Only the Brave (2017) by Steve S — 09 Feb 2018
The first half of the film lazily tries to make a case for us to care about these firefighting heroes. It plays way too much into the macho wild west, good ol boys mentality. Luckily the film finds its focus a little over mid way through.
The characters begin to rise above the cliches and add respect to the actual men in this true story. It ends up gaining some real emotions.
