Review of Only the Brave (2017) by Jluis_001 — 28 Jan 2018
Undoubtedly more than one will believe this film was directed by Peter Berg, let's be honest, it has his style, pleasantly the film turned out to be more satisfying and focused on relevant and interesting things, and also works quite well by making an emphasis on the lives of its protagonists, because that is what this film is all about, after all it's a recreation but also a tribute.
The last part is quite emotional and the drama develops satisfactorily and away from emotional manipulation, it is what it is, the lives that were lost in the line of duty without any sort of arrengement.
The film has a remarkable cast and everyone does a good job, this is not a masterpiece but it's not a bad movie either, it's a tribute and it's worth it, yeah it's a little longer than it should be, but personally I think it's worth it.
