Review of Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) by Joyce M — 30 Mar 2014
Just as you think the Twilight series has buried the Vampire genre comes Jarmusches take on the night dwellers, jockeying between Tangier and Detroit and the journey of two aged old lovers looking for ways to rejuvienate their love of one another along with Tom Hiddleston's character love of creating something musically relevant yet annonymous.
A slow burn movie with tremendous performances by the leads and supporting cast and feeling very lived in, Only Lovers left alive feels like it will go down as one of those great more than its genre cult classics.
