Review of Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) by Anne B — 14 Apr 2014

Well, the first half hour isn't too bad. We learn about some interesting vampires but after that it's just, nothing. This film is 2 whole hours of a vampire who is so bored with life that he talks like a hipster the whole time. And it gets really old, really fast.

There are 2 moments in this movie where the script gets off the ground, but both times, both interesting moments, it quickly ends into nothing and the script falls right back onto the ground,.

I'm sorry, on a technical level it was well made, but the script was dreadful. And we don't see anything interesting. We just hear stories about how they used to do interesting things.
