I've never seen vampires portrayed more human than in Jim Jarmusch's latest venture.
Jarmusch brings his humor and humanist approach to a genre picture, with unexpected but not surprising results. This is not a "vampire" movie, this is a movie with vampires in it.
The performances are spectacular, just don't go in expecting a psycho-sexual thriller. If you're already a fan of Jarmusch, then you will undoubtedly enjoy watching him spread his wings like this.
