Review of Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) by Matt A — 25 Jul 2014
Some call this artful, I call it pretentious drivel. This has to be the dullest vampire film ever committed to celluloid. I lasted for 80 minutes and absolutley nothing happened. Thought I would go on wikipedia instead just to find out and just as I suspected no, it wasn't going to get better.
You can argue that Swinton and Hiddleston have great chemistry, they do, but it helps to have something exciting happen in the runtime. Byzantium was a little dull but it had a somewhat interesting story arc and had a small dose of action.
This is a bitter disappointment.
