Review of Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) by Jerry C — 26 Jul 2014
I left the cinema with a big smile on my face thanks to the fun two hours filled with good music, beautiful instruments, references to great books and historical and artistic characters that most of us admire.
Not everything is perfect, At times I felt I was watching Twilight for grown ups but at least here there is a pinch of delicious black humor and above all, a very beautiful, warm, yet cool Tilda Swinton that plays the most sensational and realistic vampire in film.
Gothic in style, clever most of the time, a film not to be missed. Skip the home experience - the cinematography is best experienced at a dark theatre.
