Review of Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) by Matt D — 02 Nov 2014
I love the decaying setting of Detroit as a vampire's refuge from the rest of the world.
The film as a whole is incredibly mesmerizing to watch in the moment but left me feeling a bit hollow and empty when the end credits started to roll. I have a hunch this will grow in my estimation upon further reflection but at the moment it's something I can only really praise with faint admiration.
