A dark, horrific descent into neon drenched hell, Only God Forgives trashes Goslings post Drive, cool, badass heartthrob image, and far from being simply the sequel to that film that many were expecting from another Gosling/Winding Refn collaboration, it's instead something of a bleak, cold horror movie and a polarizing portrayal of corrosive guilt and self hatred.
