Review of Only God Forgives (2013) by Stel P — 31 Aug 2014

This movie is quite the experience and some may say it's terrible, but I was completely taken by the odd and thought provoking nature of it. I like to think that the film is considered bad because of the less opened minded people's loud and obnoxious opinions that are plentiful across the board.

It's a very alienating and different film, but I've seen movies do this kind of thing before and they are praised for their confusing and "non-nonsensical happenings." Depending on what kind of person you are, you will either love or hate this movie.

If you are familiar with the work of David Lynch or Alejandro Jodorowsky then you may have a familiarity with what this film has to offer. It isn't for everyone, but if you choose to watch it you will have what you most certainly will agree upon is a unique and different experience.

I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to anyone that is willing to approach it with an open mind.
