Only God Forgives is just a movie we all had high hopes for and those hopes were slashed when the movie was released. It's just a movie I hate to hate. I do admit, the director did brilliantly with Drive.
But here it seems like he took the format of Drive and tried to milk it of everything we loved. The movie is has too much blood and gore, first of all. I have nothing against B&G, but it feels like they were trying too hard.
The acting was mediocre at best. The dialogue formed a story that would have been good if it was executed properly. Oh, and the ending was just bad. This is just a movie that would have been good if they didn't try making a Drive 2: Bangkok.
Sadly, it was just...bad.
