Review of Only God Forgives (2013) by Atomicdog — 21 Jul 2013

Despite the less than stellar reviews (or maybe because of them) I was prepared to give this film a chance especially because Drive was so good, but where Drive was riveting Only God Forgives was just boring and likely to send you to sleep.

The film is directed as if the actors were been paid by the amount of words they spoke. It's a pity because the film looks amazing and the soundtrack by Cliff Martinez (again from Drive) is top notch, but ultimately this just becomes fancy wrapping for a turd of a story.
