Review of Onibaba (1964) by Jack G — 12 Dec 2010
Really bizarre combination of Days of Heaven triangle (emphasis on the nature of things around the characters) with a Green Goblin mask thrown in! I probably preferred Kuroneko from Shindo as far as erotic horror goes, but it has its moments.
And plenty of breasts, or four of them anyway. At the least Shindo's expressionist direction elevates a pretty dry screenplay. Also, one of the best Japanese music soundtracks ever.
