The invincible Tony Jaa returns to the series that put him on the map. I was so looking forward to watching this movie because of all the crazy martial arts action in Ong Bak 2 and the cliffhanger at the end of the movie.

.. only to be totally let down by the 3rd act :-( The movie picks up directly after the movie, where Tien is tortured and every bone is broken in his body... only to have him magically cured or "resurrected.

" As for all the crazy "boss" warriors from Ong Bak 2, they barely make an appearance and get beaten so fast! Invincible in Part 2 and Horrible in Part 3! The movie went from hard-action to some mystical/magical/cursed film where magic is a big part of the movie, which totally ruins the atmosphere of the film.

Instead of real-world action, it's permeated with weird magical and cursed elements, which make the non-existing storyline all the more confusing and less engaging. Worse, we have Tony Jaa meditating and healing from his wounds for most of the film.

When the action comes, unfortunately, it's with less of the lethal kicking actions we're accustomed to from Tony Jaa, and we're treated to more Tai Chi-like action (leave that to Jet Li). Too many slow-motion in the action scenes take away some of the impact.

The Crow Ghost who was invincible in Part 2 goes down like a chump in Part 3! Action-wise, it's OK, but not enough! Still enjoyable, but Jaa needs to go back to his hard-action moves and not "act" in a confusing storyline.
