Review of Ong Bak 2 (2008) by Jeremy P — 11 Oct 2009

This movie frustrates me. It could have been something absolutely amazing, but instead comes out to be pretty much mediocre. The cinematography is beautiful, the movie is ripe with Thai history, and the fight scenes are amazing, though slightly unpolished. I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that many different things with their body in order to kill people.

However, It just couldn't deliver in the long run. The story is basically nonexistent with huge plot holes and extremely limited character development.

Ong-Bak 2 tries to act like a deep, dramatic movie but can't accept the fact that it's about people getting their asses kicked.
