Review of Ong Bak 2 (2008) by Steve D — 22 Dec 2009
ALthough I loved the first Ong Bak, and love martial arts movies overall, this one was deeply disappointing. The ending really bites, almost as if Tony Jaa (who wrote & coproduced this film) felt he had to wrap it up in the last few minutes and try to make sense of the story line.
Apart from the usual awesome martial arts sequences and the whole "angry Tony" out for revenge theme, I would not even see teh film again. I'll see Ong Bak 3, of course, for some closure .
.. but I hope the writers insert a bit more plt into the production.
