Review of Ong Bak 2 (2008) by Tony F — 25 Mar 2010
While lacking the coherent, modern story of the original movie, this action-packed sequel delivers where it counts. The diminutive Tony Jaa returns for bone crunching good time. The story felt secondary, and quite frankly the editing and pacing of the movie felt awkward at times.
Still, it was very cool watching the intense action sequences unfold. Watching Jaa make use of the environment during the fights, including the use of an elephant, is very clever. Still, while I enjoyed this as a rental, this is not a movie I would own.
