Review of One Week (2008) by Ben J — 17 Jul 2009
I don't usually award films with 5 stars, but I thought this movie was one of the best I've seen years. It's beautiful scenery, touching story, and attachment to the characters was very well done. You could tell it wasn't a big Hollywood production and it was a welcome change to this soul. It really showed off the absolute beauty that is known as Canada. The people and the surrounds were filmed nicely.
It wasn't an absolute sob story, but just about a person trying to find the meaning and reason of what's happened to him. Campbell Scott pulled off this rolls perfectly. I think this is the best film he's done. I would suggest everyone see this movie.. It's not full of ups and down or in anyway an emotional rollercoaster which seems to be the typical ingredient for a movie these days. A+.
