Review of One Night with the King (2006) by Ashley Y — 03 Jan 2008

I think this movie was a great explanation of the story of Esther. It showed how she was called by God, to do a great deed for her people, the Jews. "If I perish, I perish" Is a quote that we as christians should live by daily.

It's saying Lord I will do your will, not matter what the consequence, and if you have great faith, you should know that God has your back. The costumes were beautiful, especially the Queen wardrobe.

I think King Xerxes' character showed a gentle yet tough side. The Bible does put emphasis on the LOVE that king Xerxes has for esther, you could see that through his patience, and how Esther did things that Vashti would have died for.

All in all, the movie was great if you are a more visual learner.
