One missed call is a remake of the Japanese horror show. I didn't even bother to watch the japanese version, this version is not that scary. In this horror show, the plot device is a missed call received from a dead person's cellphone, leaving message from the receiver at a future date where the receiver suppose to die.

the scary bits is that the person suppose to see some strange things before their death. somehow there is a reason for this death. like most meaningful horror show there is morale or an injustice that have to be addressed.

in this case, there is some mention of child abuse.
