Review of One Missed Call (2003) by Joe L — 20 May 2008
Hollywood seems to be running out of new material so US producers are turning to their Asian counterparts for inspiration. This movie had a few decent scares, although subtly dealt with unlike the US version which insists on hitting us over the head with a plethora of guts and gore.
Maybe North Americans could learn a thing or two about film-making. Larger, grosser, faster and less nuanced isn't always better.
