Review of One Missed Call (2003) by Shoko A — 16 Aug 2010
This is the type of horror that actually DOES scare me-that slow, creepy, wait did I just see something from the corner of my eye? type thing. Quite messed up. It gave me new things to fear like peepholes, long manes of black hair grabbing my feet, half open cupboards, the sound of an inhaler, and little kids pushing jars through doorways.
It also taught me that even if you aren't the ghost's victim, you can still get grabbed through a half open door, and even if you ARE the victim, it doesn't matter if you're not alone, even if someone special is holding you.
..you're still fucked. Minus a star for not fully understanding the ending, but that is probably my fault.
