Review of One Hour Photo (2002) by Sean Q — 18 Nov 2011
Mark Romanek is one of my favorite directors, and Robin Williams is one of my favorite actors. Romanek's eery style and plain look bring us into the world of Sy Parrish, a man who only sees beauty in the photo's he makes.
I have never felt so attached to a character like Sy, and I probably never will again. There are multiple dimensions to this emotionally scarred person. When we see his giant mural for the first time, we are both shocked and saddened to see what is really a delusion.
One of my favorite films of all time!
