Review of One Hour Photo (2002) by Matt C — 22 Nov 2018
Haven't watched this since it first came out over 15 years ago but I loved Romanek's adaptation of 'Never Let Me Go' so I thought I'd revisit this. It's even better than I remembered, the main story is in some ways a generic stalker thriller but the way it's shot and Williams performance lift it way above that.
The film examines the way we capture our lives in photography whilst perhaps forgetting the actual things that make them so precious. This is a really brilliant film.
