Review of One Frightened Night (1935) by D M — 02 Mar 2011
An "old dark house" horror/mystery/comedy which follows a lot of the typical elements. A reading of the will occurs and it is determined that the granddaughter is to receive the fortune if she arrives by midnight.
If she does not, the money will be spread among five other expectant relatives. Two women claiming to be that granddaughter arrive to the house that night. One of them is murdered so suspuscion is cast on several of the guests.
For being B grade this captures all the elements of the bigger studios films very well.
