Review of One for the Money (2012) by Steve N — 26 Mar 2012

I adore Stephanie Plum, I have been reading these novels for about 10 years now. I was so excited for the film to FINALLY be made, and then I see this slop of a film. I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would, but I didn't feel it did ANY justice to the book. I know that no movie really does, but this was one of the worst adaptations. I shouldn't have, but I expected more.

The scenes seemed frenzied and the characters flat, I didn't really find myself caring about the Stephanie in this movie and even though Daniel Sunjata is absolutely beautiful and sexy, he was miscast here. I feel like EVERYONE was miscast here to be honest. Completely uneven and forgettable, very unlike the book and unlike any rom com I have ever enjoyed. I give it two stars because it wasn't a complete POS.
