Review of One for the Money (2012) by Bill M — 15 May 2012
I have to be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this movie. I really don't care for Heigl as an actress. But it definitely did the book justice. It's a shame that the reviews were so bad and there won't be a sequel.
The first book was about character introduction and setup of ongoing plot devices, and the successive books flesh those out more and more, and they're really entertaining. So was this movie. Doesn't take itself too seriously, but it's not supposed to.
It's a comedy with drama mixed in, much like Stephanie's life. Take an hour and a half and watch it, it's an amusing flick.
