Like nails to a chalkboard. So Katherine Heigl plays a Macy's saleswoman who decides to give bounty hunting a try when she loses her job. She immediately tackles a case of her ex-boyfriend who skipped out on bail, and you've heard this song before.

Didn't we JUST have The Bounty Hunter? As if that movie wasn't awful enough, along comes One for the Money, the latest vehicle for Heigl. I am just done with this woman; every single movie she stars in, she plays the same vapid, self-absorbed, shallow, easily manipulated bimbo, and I hate her for it.

The movies she is featured in are so sexist; she lets any man who gives her the time of day puppeteer her without a second thought (anybody remember The Ugly Truth?). Annoying woman aside, this is a lazily written screenplay; I was pretty surprised to learn that this was based upon previously existing material, because it feels so slapped together.

Every single joke faceplants, and it has been since Just Go With It that I have watched a comedy so stone-faced. On top of that, you also have a really standard story that has so many flaws in simple movie making mechanics.

The exposition is the opposite of subtle, and more often than not, the scene ends on some clue to further the movie, much like a child solving an obvious mystery that his parents set up for him. There may be romantic comedies out there that have made me angrier, but this is still bottom of the barrel insipid garbage.
