Review of One for the Money (2012) by Joshua H — 02 Sep 2012
The movie basically goes through the motions of covering the book, but they really screwed up from the get-go by casting Katherine Heigl (who screams Californian, despite her spray-on tan and fake accent) and not Marisa Tomei for the bad-ass bounty hunter, New Jersey-native Stephanie Plum.
In fact, pretty much all the characters were cast poorly. And to add insult to injury, the Simon & Simon-esque soundtrack makes it feel more like an '80s TV show. Too bad, since the book is one of my faves.
Pros: they didn't cast Snooki, thank god.
