Review of One for the Money (2012) by Jilly H — 24 Mar 2013
I have read many of the Stephanie Plum novels, although not the first one. I knew what to expect and was elated to see how my favorite characters fell together. The first book was written in 1994, so perhaps some of the jokes seem a bit cliche but it takes so long for movies with strong female characters to be made.
I found this much more entertaining than many of the popular movie franchises with male leads and/or anything with Adam Sandler in it. This was refreshing in a male dominated film industry. People raking the movie over the coals need to compare it to some of the other crap they try to force on us: horror movies and the Twilight series? Please! This much better than those.
And it was fun. Does anyone remember fun?
