Review of One for the Money (2012) by Ruslan M — 24 Mar 2013
One For The Money is a poor attempt to bring Katherine Heigl back on the big screen.
A proud, born and bred Jersey girl, Stephanie Plum's got plenty of attitude, even if she's been out of work for the last six months and just lost her car to a debt collector. Desperate for some fast cash, Stephanie turns to her last resort: convincing he sleazy cousin to give her a job at his bail bonding company as a recovery agent. True, she doesn't even own a pair of handcuffs and her weapon of choice is pepper spray, but that doesn't stop Stephanie from taking on Vinny's biggest bail jumper: former vice cop and murder suspect Joe Morelli, yup the same sexy, irresistible Joe Morelli who seduced and dumped her back in high school.
In world were romantic comedies exist, some are bad, some are well made and then there's the ones that are vomit. This one on the other hand is complete vomit scum. This movie falls in such an ugly category. It's slow paced, the acting is way off and story is just all over the place.
As sexy and stunning Katherine Heigl maybe (there's no argue on that) she's really really bad in this movie. Jason O' Mara is the leading actor in this and he isn't that good in this either all though I did like him in the show Terra Nova. Director Julie Anne Robinson is not even considered a good director because she was the one who did the terrible movie called The Last Song.
In the end this movie is just a complete mess because of choppy acting, low pacing and really bad script. One for the money is not worth for anyone's money.
