Ken Kesey's book is far different, and if it can be imagined, darker than this. Jack Nicholson is superb, as are the supporting cast of looneys, particularly Brad Dourif, Sydney Lassick, Christopher Lloyd, and William Redfield.
I would highly recommend this film. See why Nicholson won and Fletcher and Dourif were nominated for Oscars.
