Review of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) by Paul R — 03 Aug 2013
Milos Forman's 1975 classic One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is one of those films that everyone needs to see. The amazing Jack Nicholson plays Randle, a quite manic and free spirited man who is sent to a mental hospital for evaluation.
Here we meet a host of amazing characters all perfectly played and complimentary to the story and each other. Particular praise goes to the sullen faced Louise Fletcher as Nurse Ratched who poses the most problems for our charismatic Randle.
This is a very powerful film with a lot to say but regardless of it's message this film sets you on a roller coaster of emotions and delivers some of the most memorable characters and performances on film.
It's always affecting with each and every watch, the sign of quality film making.
