Review of One Fine Day (1996) by Saiju G — 19 May 2010
My rating (4/5 ~ 8/10) is very biased. Why? Because I would usually don't like the cliches and unnatural sentimentality, which at moments this movie displays. However, what I did very much like here is the idealistic portrayal of the relationship between the two main characters.
I'm tired of the quasi-realism and 'edgyness' of recent romantic comedies. There wasn't no graphic sex talk here, no unintentional nudity. There wasn't even a sex scene. And that's great! Maybe, she's terrible in bed, maybe he's got a weird fetish'. We will never know! Awesome!
(SPOILER ALERT)They fall asleep in each other's arms on the freaking couch! The. Bloody. End!
