Title: One False Move.
Formula: Sling Blade + True Romance - romance.
Pros: 1) Great, clean style. 2) Good performances.
Cons: 1) We've seen it a million times. 2) The music. I know this movie was made 20 years ago, but dear god. I thought I was listening to an episode of L.A. Law.
Verdict: Psycho road trip with a slight hint of something more that has a hard time being heard in all the gunfire. This movie just luxuriates a little too much in the violence. This is fine if you're making a hard boiled movie like something from Tarantino, but if you're trying to make something with a little more dramatic substance, it doesn't work. Still, it was a thoroughly OK movie.
