The charm; the cheese - more 80s, please! Replete with an "A-Team" montage where the protagonists build their vehicle of victory to synthesized music, the classic Goonies home foreclosure by rich jerks looking to expand their empire, actors John Cusack and Demi Moore, and above all, the contest of skill where the underdogs save the day and win the girl, this flick has it all.
Truly, the golden age of cinema - and perhaps even the world itself - has come and gone in a blaze of bourgeois glory.
