Review of One Chance (2013) by Aaron C — 28 Nov 2013
It's predictable but very watchable and we left the cinema smiling - and isn't that what you want from a romcom? Corden was suprisingly good despite an on again/off again accent and Alexandra Roach was great.
The great thing about British films is they so often get the minor characters right and in this case MacKenzie Crook, Julie Waters and Colm Meaney are spot on. The film doesn't push any boundaries but it's light-hearted and will be a big hit with people of a certain age (!) who will appreciate the feelgood nature and lack of bad language or uncomfortable scenes.
