Review of Ondine (2010) by Jennie R — 15 Sep 2012
What I wanted this film to be and what it was made it more of a disappointment to me. The movie is predictable and Farrell, while his acting is better than most of his films, struggles with the Irish accent.
It fades in and out through the whole film. The constant images of Bachleda's body veiled naked or in her undergarments take away from the purity of the story. It seemed unnecessary and rather awkward in some parts.
I would not classify this as Sci fi or Fantasy. There is none of that. Drama is the only genre appropriate.
