I didn't know what to expect when I first watched this film. The intensity of the characters and the drama of the story are moving and at times even uncomfortable. This is what a movie should do. I can't say enough good about this too little-seen New Zealand film.
Rena Owen's performance stands right up with that of the character Jake's. Fucking Amazing.
