"I'm a lovable chap!" sitting in the pub surrounded by beer bottles, letting his family down and beating the shit out of them. How well was that line placed...how good was Tem in this film.
Totally believable even on second watch 13 years later. Tem, hat off to you mate, you owned this role. I grew up in far north of NZ and I know too many families that still haven't had the happy ending (she removed herself and her kids from it) that this sort of had.
