Review of Once Were Warriors (1994) by Iain B — 22 Oct 2010
A harsh and brutal film about a New Zealand family trying to make it through life in a cold world. The husband is a big and proud Maori who gets violent when he gets drunk and takes it out on his wife or anybody else who pisses him off.
A very moving, but sad story. I don't like violence, but I couldn't help but feel satisfied when he beat the shit out of the uncle.
