Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Loren G — 30 Jan 2010
I wasn't sure if Leone could equal "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly". Now I am sure. I'm not quite sure where to begin so I'm just gonna pinpoint a few things about it.
It feels a lot like Leone's other western epic, yet so different from it at the same time.
It's climax rivals GB&U, as does its music.
Henry Fonda makes an amazing villain. The rest of the cast is top notch too.
2hrs and 45mins sounds long. It's not. It's the perfect length.
Leone is badass!
