Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Benjamin Z — 20 Nov 2010
My favorite western ever,...seen it so many times,it's an addiction! The whole cast is perfect,Charles Bronson as The Man with the Harmonica,Henry Fonda playing the blackest character of his long career,Jason Robards, and the always beautiful and sexy Claudia Cardinale.
The music score is pure perfection,Ennio Morricone reaching new heights, his haunting and sublime music giving flavor to the movie,to each character.Sergio Leone also reach pure perfection with this film.
A monumental masterpiece,a legend among westerns films, one of the best movie of all-time,no matter the genre.A glorious showing of the art of making great cinema, shot by shot, frame by frame,...this beautiful film just takes your breath away, leaving you no choice but to come back to it again and again!!!!
