Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Benjamin Y — 25 Jun 2011
Indisputable masterpiece that is for acquired tastes as it is paced slower than watching paint dry and has numerous scenes of people staring at each other for lengthy periods before speaking or acting.
Only Leone could get away with this although Tarantino seems to be trying harder to do so with every movie he makes. A beyond great film that somehow is even better (marginally) than The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
