Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Delol S — 13 Mar 2012
It was like "BROOOSSHKK" then like "BAARANGA!" But all the beginning it was all like "SSSSSSHHHH nothing gonna on here...what's that? some murderin' about to happen? who's this guy? why's he got a harmonica? then like--there was a back story for him and everything. GUNS! BADDIES!! A introspective self-aware camera shot through a window frame to demonstrate the young woman's limited view of her future upon arriving in town to find her new husband and family dead! That sweet old man just killed that kid. I know him! more "BAMMM!!!" White hat v. Black hat. There's a banker on crutches in there somewhere...Betrayal!!!! Score by Ennio Morricone.
Classic Leone.
