Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Guillaume H — 10 Mar 2013
The single strongest Sergio Leone movie and the high mark of the western style, spaghetti or not. Every single frame is a master piece, and the drawned out sequences never feels forced, their slowness is revealing, rewarding and like a caress by a very hot wind.
This is a feast for the eyes and for the ears and very stimulating to analyse from a technical point of view. Its also a very poignant story that unfolds like shakespeare wrote it.
